Chief Meteorologist Arif Mahmood has been promoted as Director General of Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD). The Federal Central Selection Board has promoted Arif Mahmood, Chief Meteorologist (BS-20) as PMD Director General (BS-21). He has been serving as Deputy to the PMD Director General since January 2006 and officiating as Acting Director General since September 13, 2010.
