The Swiss franc was within striking distance of its record high versus the euro on Wednesday, supported by investors shunning risk after disappointing US data. The franc was little changed against the euro compared to the New York close, trading at 1.2489 per euro at 0752 GMT. The franc was up 0.1 percent against the dollar at 0.9504 per dollar.
