KESC exempts Karachi University from loadshedding

Published Updated

Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) has exempted Karachi University (KU) from loadshedding. KESC would also provide branded bus to the university within next three months. Official at KESC told Business Recorder here on Wednesday that KESC would provide a bus to KU for the benefit of students and in return it would be allowed to put their name on the bus for period of three years.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has already been signed last week by Tabish Gauhar, Chief Executive Officer, KESC and Dr Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui, Vice Chancellor, KU, he added. However, KESC has placed order for the bus and it would be delivered to KU within three months, he added. The Karachi University Business School's (KUBS) Alumni Association took the initiative as KUBS under its Student Transport Programme was working to motivate and convince the private organisations to support the cause.
