The Jamaat-i-Islami chief, Syed Munawar Hasan, has said that Benazir Bhutto's assassins won't be arrested as long as the PPP was in power. He was addressing a workshop for the labour leaders and the Kisans affiliated with JI at Mansoora on Monday.
Former JI chief, Qazi Husain Ahmed, Secretary General Liaquat Baloch, deputy chief Sirajul Haq besides Kisan Board president Sardar Zafar Husain, National Labour Federation chief Rafiq Ahmed Khan, and JI central leader Hafiz Muhammad Idrees also spoke on the occasion.
Syed Munawar Hasan challenged the PPP's claim of eliminating Ziaul Haq's remnants saying that 70 percent of the present parliamentarians including 50 percent of the PPP assembly members were Zia's remnants adding that even Prime Minister Gilani and the Foreign Minister Qureshi were also Zia's close associates. He further said that Zardari and Nawaz Sharif were protecting each other.
