At the very outset I would like to compliment Print Media for bringing out a special supplement on the 3rdAnniversary of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, a pertinent day for paying tribute to her meritorious services for the restoration of democracy in Pakistan.
She was the only internationally renowned and recognised Muslim leader who was awarded more than 26 International Awards and Degrees. She was an institution for the students of politics and a guide & lesson for the democracies of the world. BB Shaheed was a shield throughout her life for the democracies against the dictatorships of the world.
Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was the first lady to be democratically elected as the Prime Minister in any Muslim Country. She was a source of hope and happiness and an inspiration and motivation to hopeless and downtrodden people of Pakistan. B.B. Shaheed struggled throughout her life against dictatorship and for the restoration of democracy in the country and always raised her voice for the protection of Human Rights and provision of social justice to the poor people of Pakistan.
She sacrificed her life for the restoration of democracy in the country. I and all workers of Pakistan Peoples Party salute her and other martyrs of PPP who also scarified their lives with BB Shaheed on their 3rd anniversary today.
May Allah Almighty rest the departed souls in eternal peace.
