HRW wheat bids unchanged

Published Updated

Hard red winter wheat cash bids in the US Plains stayed unchanged on Monday in thin dealings following the Christmas holiday, dealers said. Dry conditions persisted in the US Plains with periods of snow forecast for Thursday and Friday in northern areas and a possibility for showers in the central and southern areas. Western wheat fields remained stressed by dry soils.
Kansas City Board of Trade March HRW wheat futures ended up 1/2 cent on Thursday at $8.45. Markets were closed on Friday for the Christmas holiday. Wheat futures dipped overnight in response to a move by China to raise interest rates.
