Displaced children celebrates Quaid's birthday

Pakistan Village Development Programme (PVDP) in collaboration with UNICEF celebrated the birthday anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam, Mohammad Ali Jinnah in Child Protection Centres at Jalozai IDP camp. In this connection, a special function was held at Shama Centre of Jalozai Camp, Phase-III. Hundreds of children attended.
PVDP has established eight training centres at Jalozai IDPs camp where on basic principles of life is in progress for 557 boys and 456 girls while more than doubled number of children have been returned to their areas. On this occasion Manager Operations, PVDP, Ziaullah Khan, chief guest while beside, Project Co-ordinator, Imran Iqbal facilitators Sangeen Khan, Roohullah, Saadia Ghani and Mehmooda Gul were also present.
The children paid rich tributes to the founder of Pakistan and also held Quran Khwani and read out Naats. The children also presented national anthem, poems and national songs and received ovation from the participants. Addressing the children, the chief guest, Ziaullah Khan said that living nations remembered the leaders and remained ready for facing every difficult situation. He highlighted the importance of the celebration of the day and read out contexts from the speeches delivered by Quaid-e-Azam, Mohammad Ali Jinnah on different occasions.
Project Co-ordinator, Imran Iqbal highlighted the character of the father of the nation. The participants also held Quran Khwani for the eternal peace of the great leader. At the end of the function, chief guest, Ziaullah Khan distributed gifts amongst the children and donated a cash amount of Rs 15000/- for financial assistance of child Suleman, who lost a leg in an accident.-PR
