President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Ghulam Mustafa Chaudhry in a press statement issued on Friday evening has expressed his concern on the proposed plan to appoint people with political affiliations instead of professionals as heads of important bodies in Pakistan.
He said that already the top Government institutions including Pakistan Steel, Pakistan Railways, PEPCO, PIA and others are not performing and the decision of appointing unprofessional people would aggravate the problems. He stressed that the Government may not implement any plan or decision to appoint people other than the top professionals as heads of the important institution of the country and take necessary measures to improve performance of Pakistan Steel, Railways, PIA, PEPCO and other institutions, which have an important role to play in national economy and public service.
