Jamaat-i-Islami strongly reacts to ISI official's summoning by US
Reacting aggressively to the demand of US court of summoning officials from ISI, Jamaat-i-Islami Secretary General Liaquat Baloch urged the government to part ways with the global coalition forged for war on terrorism. Warning the government against unbearable consequences, he said that the nation is poised to confront the government at every level in case the government makes a mistake of handing over to US any Pakistani citizen or the senior officials from Pakistan army.
Talking to a group of journalists on Saturday, he said how US courts could let Pakistan army officials go uncharged which have sentenced Dr Aafia Siddiqui to 86 years of imprisonment on basis of illogical, disproved, untested, baseless and concocted evidences.
JI's Nazim-i-Amoomi said India is gaining US courts' help to take revenge of Mumbai attacks as it had failed to produce concrete evidences in connection with involvement of Pakistan in the mayhem. "If India or US has any evidence those should be brought in front of the world to prove Pakistan guilty of Mumbai attacks," he said.
