Pakistan desires to strengthen ties with Oman: Gilani

Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani said the mutual desire for further strengthening of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Oman reflects spirit of brotherhood and affection between the people of two countries. The Prime Minister was talking to Muhamed Said Muhamed Al-Lawati, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman who called on him in the Prime Minister House on Saturday morning to brief him on the programme and substance of his official visit to Oman from December 27 to 28.
Expressing satisfaction over the existing bilateral ties, the Prime Minister said that the potential and opportunities that exist needs to be further exploited for the benefit of the people of the two countries. During the meeting, the whole gamut of bilateral relations and ways and means to be undertaken by both sides to further strengthen the cordial brotherly ties between the two countries, came under discussion.
The Ambassador while highlighting the areas for further co-operation and to enhancing the brotherly ties expressed confidence that the forthcoming visit of the Prime Minister to Muscat (Oman) will go a long way in strengthening the bilateral ties between Pakistan and Oman.
