It is a matter of great pleasure and pride for me to be shouldering the responsibility as the first President and CEO of Sindh Bank Ltd. I pray to Almighty Allah that I fulfill my responsibilities that is expected of me to be able to serve the needs of the country and its masses particularly the women and the small businesses of the Sindh province, a vision which Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto held.
Sindh is bestowed with rich resources and hardworking people. It has been the financial centre of the region and one of the key resources of the national economy. For these reasons, Sindh has always attracted investment, business and people from all over the country. With our Head Office located in Karachi, the undisputed financial centre of the country, we are ideally placed to cater to the needs of businesses, small and medium size, as well as providing microfinance solutions that will encourage SME development. The bank will open five branches by the end of December 2010 and Inshallah plans to establish 50 branches by the end of the year 2011 after obtaining permission from State Bank of Pakistan.
I thank the Board of Directors of the Bank for reposing their confidence in me and my team. I congratulate all those who have been part of the journey that has brought us to witness the launch of Sindh Bank Ltd, today. May Allah guide us with successes.
