It is a pleasure for me to witness this day, which marks the inauguration of the Bank of the province of Sindh. I thank all those who have worked to bring this to a reality.
But more so, I congratulate the people of Sindh, because it is for them that this bank will function and it is to cater to their financial requirements that this bank has been set up. By providing the complete range of banking services, the bank will encourage investment, development and growth in all sectors of the economy of the Sindh province, leading to an increase in our contribution to the country's economic growth. It would empower the people of Sindh, particularly the women entrepreneurs who lacked access to funds for their business needs.
It is indeed the vision of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto which has materialized through the current Government that has facilitated this initiative. To the Board of Directors and management of Sindh Bank, my message is of congratulations as I wish them the very best for the future and assure them of my full support for the bank.
