Sixth Consumers Choice Award Ceremony to be held on December 30

Consumers representative body Consumers Association of Pakistan is holding 6th Consumers Choice Award Ceremony 2010 on Thursday, December 30, 2010, 1:00 pm at Karachi Marriott Hotel.
On this occasion Honourable Federal Minister for Commerce, Makhdoom Muhammad Amin Fahim will be the Chief Guest. Honourable Minister for Industries & Commerce, Government of Sindh, M. A. Rauf Siddiqui, H. E. D W Jinadasa, Consul General of Sri Lanka and well known industrialists. S.M. Muneer and Mian Zahid Hussain and Director General PSQCA, Mr Muhammad Junaid Qureshi will be Guests of Honour.
In this ceremony, national and multinational companies, banks and service providers will be awarded on the basis of maintaining quality and standard of their products. This was stated by CAP Chairman Kaukab Iqbal during a special interview in presence of Sr. Vice Chairman Naeem Patel, General Secretary Engr. Farida Essa, Chairman Sindh Region. Mumtaz Yaseen Arain, Aamir Siddiqui, Vice Chairman Legal Affairs. Javed Ahmed Chhatari, Chief Co-ordinator. Arif Nadeem Zaidi and Co-ordinator Ahsan Ullah.
Kaukab Iqbal explained the details about Consumers Choice Award and informed the media that there are 60 organisations that won the award. He said that a survey was conducted through volunteers and consumers have voted for the products of their choice through CAP website. Apart from industries and service providers' significant media personnel who work for consumers affairs will also be given away with awards. This award will pave the way for production of standard products and producer will take care for better quality. In this way more quality products will be available in markets.
CAP chairman categorically stated the objective of this award is that it will act as bridge between consumers and quality concerned manufacturers. A healthy competition will prevail among manufacturers and ultimately consumers will be benefited that they will be able to acquire quality products easily.-PR
