Austerity drive to continue in government departments: minister

Punjab Finance Minister Tanvir Ashraf Kaira has said that simplicity and austerity drive would continue in all government departments; the government would not allow any department to exceed its allocation made in the current budget. He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of the committee constituted for reviewing non-development expenditures and austerity measures here on Wednesday, disclosed an official.
Punjab Finance Secretary Tariq Bajwa, Additional Secretary Finance Fareed Tarar and other concerned officers also attended the meeting.
