'Available resources being used for uplift of Punjab'

Members National and Provincial Assembly from various districts met Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif here on Tuesday and apprised him of the pace of ongoing development projects and problems of their respective areas. Talking to assembly members, the Chief Minister said that Punjab government is utilising all available resources for the speedy development of the province.
He said that bringing the poor into national mainstream and public service is agenda of the government and sincere efforts are being made for its fulfilment. He said that a solid strategy has been adopted for the uplift of education, health, agriculture, livestock and other sectors and the steps taken for this purpose are yielding positive results.
He said that government has initiated Aashiyana housing project for providing shelter to low-income people while a comprehensive plan is being implemented for the elimination of poverty, ignorance and unemployment from the province. He said that assembly members should utilise all their energies for ensuring that the benefits of development schemes should reach the common man besides solution of the problems of the masses. Those who met the Chief Minister included Provincial Minister Sardar Dost Muhammad Khan Khosa, Member National Assembly Malik Shakeel Awan, Members Provincial Assembly Ata Muhammad Manika, Shabbir Awan and Ms Joyce Rufin Julius.
