Addressing a press conference at Karachi Press Club here Saturday, chairman All Pakistan Fruit and Vegetable Exporters and Merchant Association (PFVA) Mustafa Kamal, Abdul Wahid and Abdul Mateen Siddiqui alleged that customs authorities and quarantine department are deliberately creating lots of hurdles in the smooth process of kinnoo exports. They alleged that customs authorities have started 100 percent examination of kinnoo consignments from November 2011, which is not only delaying clearance but also damaging the quality of kinnoo due to variation of temperature. Kinnoo is stored in the refrigerated container at 2.2 degrees C to maintain its quality till the time of delivery at the destination, they added.
