Published Updated

Office-bearers of Hydro Union, Shukat Ali, Sajjad Baloch, Saeed, Shafqat Asghar, Ali Akram and Javed Iqbal told APP that the government should take tangible steps to produce power through economical means.

They warned that the proposed privatisation of Wapda would it pathetic like KESC.

They claimed free electricity units were a right of Wapda employees "who shed their blood everyday to meet needs of people across the country".
