Pakistan-China ties as strong as ever

Khan said that this year, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the diplomatic relations, both countries are celebrating China-Pakistan Friendship Year. He said that both the two countries held a series of events this year, aimed at strengthening the bond of friendship.

He told People's Daily, China's most Influential newspaper, that bilateral relations between Pakistan and China have reached new heights, thanks to the concerted efforts of the leadership and people of both sides.

People's Daily is the official newspaper of China's ruling Communist Party and the largest circulating Chinese language newspaper.

" China and Pakistan have maintained their traditional all-weather friendship in a rapidly changing world and have actively supported each other on major issues of common concern," Khan said.

He pointed out that since the beginning of the year, the two countries have conducted frequent exchanges between youth, media persons, students, officials and entrepreneurs of both sides, which further reinforced bilateral economic and trade cooperation.

Khan expressed thanks for the efforts of the Chinese government and people in promoting Pakistan-China friendship as well as for their support for Pakistan. Ambassador Khan said that China is developing rapidly at an unprecedented speed and hoped the country will maintain rapid growth in the future.
