European stock markets steady at open

LONDON: European stock markets steadied at the open Friday following a brief rebound the previous session.

Frankfurt's DAX 30 index edged up by only a few points to 13,051.71 and the Paris CAC 40 was flat at 5,335.85 points.

London's FTSE 100 index dipped 0.2 percent to 7,370.98 points.
