Meanwhile six more ships scheduled to load/ offload containers, cement, furnace oil and chemical also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during the last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 60 percent at the Port on Wednesday where total number of seven ships namely MV. Henry, MSC Jade, CGM Strauss, Fisher-K, Ionian Sea, MV Frauke and Chemroad Wing are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, project cargo and edible oil respectively during the last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 50,445 tonnes, comprising 24,490 tonnes imports and 25,955 tonnes exports, inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 2097 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during the last 24 hours.
Four vessels MV, Henry, CGM Strauss and CGM Road Wing sailed out to sea on Thursday morning. One ship MSC Jade is expected to sail later on the same day.
