CM chairs meeting of Finance and P&D depts

The meeting was attended among others by Sindh Finance Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, Additional Chief Secretary (Planning and Development) Israr Malik, Sindh Finance Secretary, Naveed Kamran Baloch, and Secretary to the C.M. Sindh, Alamuddin Bullo.

Sindh Chief Minister while speaking on the occasion said that it is the endeavour of the present government to provide relief to the common man particularly in rain affected areas, where almost entire  infrastructure has been damaged.

He added that under the programme thereby declared the financial year 2011-2012 as Year of Development, we have decided to complete maximum schemes upto the end of financial year.

He directed the P&D Department to finalise the schemes of MPAs and other special projects within stipulated time, so as to complete other formalities.

He said that 50% of funds be immediately released in all districts of the province while various packages of Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, etc be also given priority as far as development schemes are concerned.

The meeting was informed that Rs 4.3 billion have been released for all packages of Karachi, while Rs 4.00 billion have been allocated for Rural Vitalisation, Rs 2.00 billion for Town rehabilitation and Rs 2 billion have been allocated for Town Social Sector.

It was informed that so far Rs 27.00 billion have been released in the province, while fresh allocations will be released early. All the District Officers / Deputy Commissioners etc were directed to maintain all accounts in Sindh Bank without any delay. Other issues were also discussed in the meeting.
