Pakistan wants stable, prosperous Afghanistan: Kaira

Talking to a private news channel on Wednesday, he said that Pakistan has serious reservations regarding attack on our forces by the ISAF and NATO forces in Afghanistan, on the border of Afghanistan and martydom of 24 soldiers and officers.

He said Pakistan is a frontline state against terror which is not only fighting the terrorists and is basically a victim of terror.

To a question, Kaira said that "We believe that a sovereign, stable and prosperous Afghanistan is necessary for a sovereign and prosperous Pakistan".

Replying to a question about the boycott of Bonn conference he said that, "If Pakistani soldiers, nation and soil is not being trusted, then what kind of relationship the world wants with us, that has to be decided".

Pakistan will help Afghanistan but, "We have to rethink our terms of engagement with the ISAF and NATO forces, and there should be a clear and visible policy change in that," he added.

Kaira said that government of Pakistan is bound by the people's will and the people's will is at the moment that, "our Parliament, Cabinet, Defence Committee and the whole nation wants unity on this issue".
