Chinese shares down 0.30pc in morning trade

The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, shed 0.30 percent, or 7.11 points, to 2,353.55.

China's central bank said last week it would cut bank reserve requirement levels for the first time in three years, in the strongest signal yet that Beijing wants to ease monetary policy after more than a year of restrictions.
