Addressing a meeting here on Saturday, the Punjab Agriculture Minister Ahmed Ali Aulakh said that Ulema belonging to different schools of thought, civil society and social organisations could play their due role in creating peace during Muharram. He said that teachings of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) were a beacon of light for humanity, adding that all sects should maintain mutual understanding and unity by following patience and tolerance. He said that sectarianism should be shunned to ensure progress and prosperity. He also reviewed security arrangements for mourning processions. He also lauded Anjuman-e-Tajran for providing close circuit TVs and cameras for monitoring procession, adding that maintenance of peace was necessary for the promotion of economic and social activities.
