Celebrities react to Mahira-Ranbir’s smoke break

Soon after the pictures of Pakistani actress Mahira Khan and Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor smoking together surfaced on the internet, the actress received severe criticism from her fans while fresh rumors about the two dating also became the talking point on both sides of the border.

In the pictures Mahira and Ranbir can be seen smoking together out on a New York street. Soon afterwards, everyone did not just start speculating about them but Mahira ended up receiving the most unwanted and unnecessary backlash from her fans.

However, both Indian and Pakistani celebrities came for Mahira's defense and opposed the biased nature of those criticizing her. Many took to the social media to speak against Mahira, but it was interesting to see that many people turned a blind eye about Ranbir's presence in the pictures or his 'character'.

Seeing this prejudice, many celebrities from the country and across the border came to the rescue of Mahira, slamming the internet trollers. Parineeti Chopra and Varun Dhawan were some of the Bollywood actors who spoke in favor of Mahira.

The ‘Judwaa 2’ actor shammed the internet for their backlash by saying, “Shame on them for shaming her.” Parineeti added, “I will just say one line. It’s a little unfair. Everybody knows it’s unfair and it’ll stop. Today, because of social media, everything becomes too big a deal.”

Pakistani celebrities such as Momina Mustehsan, Ali Zafar, Neelam Muneer, Urwa and Mawra Hocane and Osman Khalid Butt also supported Mahira Khan, giving her more strength.
