LONDON: Europe's main stock markets climbed at the start of trading on Friday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.2 percent to 7,422.94 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 won 0.1 percent to 12,194.73 points and the Paris CAC40 gained 0.2 percent to 5,121.48 compared with the close on Thursday.
