Shipping activity at Port Qasim

Meanwhile another ship carrying canola seeds also arrive at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was recorded at the Port at 62% on Thursday as compared to 54% on previous day where a total of nine ships namely, C.V Pisti, C.V Nicolai Maersk, C.V New Delhi Express, M.V Fonthida Naree, M.V Ikan Tambak, M.V Iron Kalypso, M.T Chembulk Singapore, M.T Fair Spirit and M.T Sunrise Hamanasu are currently occupying berths to load-offload containers, rice, canola seeds, sunflower seeds, palm oil, furnace oil and chemicals respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo handling remained upward trend at the Port where a cargo volume of 0.122 million tonnes comprises 0.084 million tonnes imports and 0.038 million tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 3,813 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours.

Three ships C.V Nicolai Maersk, C.V New Delhi Express and M.T Sunrise Hamanasu sailed out to sea on Friday morning while two more ships C.V Pisti and M.V Iron Kalypso are expected to sail on same day.

Two ships C.V MSC Anafi and M.V Fisher-K scheduled to load/offload containers and cement are expected to take berths of Container Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively on Friday, November 25.

Container Vessel MSC Jade and edible oil Vessel Stolt Zulu are due to arrive at Port Qasim on same day, while three more ships C.V Maersk Carolina, MSC Roberta and M.T Wolong Song with containers and project cargo are due to arrive on Sunday, November 27.
