LONDON: European stock markets advanced at the start of trading on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index

LONDON: European stock markets advanced at the start of trading on Wednesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.4 percent to 7,412.33 points awaiting British unemployment data.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 won 0.6 percent to 12,250.02 points and the Paris CAC 40 gained 0.4 percent to 5,159.10 compared with the close on Tuesday.
