Advising Pakistan entrepreneurs to realise their full potential in their Nation's cononomic growth, Munter encouraged Pakistan's private-sector leaders and entrepreneurs to tap the scope to drive job creation and economic growth in the country.
Addressing the members of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) here the American Ambassador said, "Pakistan has huge long-term potential for commercial growth in its large, diverse market."
He said, "The United States is firmly committed to its partnership with Pakistan, and building strong commercial relations, emphasizing trade, not just aid, is a critical part of that relationship."
In his engagement with Pakistan's top business leaders at RCCI and his visit to Pakistan-America joint-venture business, Medical Transcription Billing Company Ltd. (MTBC), which employs more than 1000 Pakistanis the Ambassador appreciated the contribution of the business community for creating jobs.
His visit to RCCI and MTBC today underscored the US Embassy's commitment to increase US-Pakistan business ties, in support of Secretary Clinton's emphasis that the US strives to promote "trade, not just aid."
