The bomb was planted under a bridge in Alingar district of Laghman province before it ripped through a civilian van, provincial police chief Abdul Rahman Sarjang told AFP. "The van was hit by a roadside bomb on a bridge in Alingar, killing three men and wounding three other people including a woman and a child," he said. Roadside bombs are frequently planted by insurgents but there was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
