Romania sells planned 700mn lei of April 2023 bonds

Debt managers last issued the paper, which has a residual maturity of 69 months, in October 2015 at an average yield of 3.18 percent. They sold Dec. 2022 bonds, with a residual maturity of 66 months, earlier this month at 2.93 percent.

Also on Monday, the finance ministry sold 1.0 billion lei worth of one-year treasury bills.

So far this year, Romania has sold roughly 29.56 billion lei and 340 million euros of domestic bills and bonds. It has tapped foreign markets for 1.75 billion euros of 2027 and 2035 Eurobonds.
