Shipping activity at Port Qasim

Berth occupancy was managed 40% at the Port on Friday where a total of Five ships namely, Safemarine Cunene, CGM Massai, M.V. Khalid Bin Muhiuddin, M.V Dover and M.V Four Island are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers loaded with wheat and furnace oil respectively during the last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 47,363 tonnes comprising 25,085 tonnes imports and 22,278 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2059 containers (TEUs) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.

Two containers ships CGM Massai and M.V. Safemarine Cunene were expected to sail on Saturday. Two ships M.T. Mire and MSC Anafi carrying furnace oil and containers respectively were also expected to take berths at FOTCO and QICT Terminals respectively on Saturday, 19

KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim where two ships carrying containers were berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal on Friday, February 18.Meanwhile, four more ships carrying wheat, container and furnace oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
