ISLAMABAD: The prices of fruits and vegetables overall remained stable after minor fluctuation in price of some items in the federal capital here on Monday.

According to the Islamabad Market Committee price list issued here, the prices of various fruits and vegetables showed no major difference from the price list of the previous week.

According to price list, potato was sold at Rs 39/34 per kilogram, Onion Rs 28/25, Tomato Rs 46/40, Ginger Rs 155/125, Garlic (Quetta) Rs 160/140, Garlic Local 135/120, Lemon Rs 185/110, Lady Finger Rs 52/45, Pumpkin Rs 70/55, Brinjal Rs 53/45, Peas Rs 150/125, Fresh Bean Rs 60/45, Tinda Walaiti (Imported gourd small) Rs 90/75, Cucumber Rs 45/40, Capsicum Rs 46/40, Green Chilli Rs 45/40, Cauliflower Rs 70/45, Cabbage Rs 20/15, Bitter gourd Rs 45/38, Green Zucchini Rs 60/45, Spinach Rs 20/14, Yam Rs 40/35 and Maroo Rs 60/45, Carrot Rs 52/45, Chicken Rs 145 and Egg per dozen Rs 101.

Likewise, the rates of fruits per kilogram of high and medium quality in Islamabad are as follows: Apple (kala kalo) Rs 155/115, Apple White Rs 125/80, Apple China Rs 225/175, Banana Pak Rs 75/45, Banana India Rs 125/85, Pear China Rs 165/135, Melon Rs 30/20, Mango (Sindhi) Rs 75/45, Peach Special Rs 125/80, Mango (local) Rs 42/28, Mango (Anwar Ratool) Rs 100/60, Mango (Langra) Rs 60/40, Apricoat Rs 115/75, Cherry Rs 190/150, Plum Rs 80/50 and Plum (Special) Rs 120/80.

The people are asked to ensure that they purchased vegetables and fruits as per rate list and inform authorities at 051-9108084, in case of any compliant against shopkeepers.
