Shell lifts force majeure on Nigeria's Bonny Light oil exports

28 Jun, 2017

Shell's local subsidiary SPDC declared force majeure on Bonny Light exports in early June after a leak was found on the Trans Niger Pipeline.

Exports of the grade were continuing during this period though at a reduced rate.

The Trans Niger Pipeline is one of two lines, along with the Nembe Creek Trunk Line, that transports Bonny Light for export.

The July programme was about 40,000 barrels per day less than June at 164,000 bpd. August exports have been set at 226,000 bpd including two deferred cargoes.
