Published Updated

"The PPP (Pakistan Peoples Party) has always adopted the policy of national reconciliation and it has been proved also by the MQM leadership through a recent rally in support of democracy," he said while addressing a press conference at the Chief Minister House here on Thursday.

Qaim Ali Shah said that he had no idea about the agenda of former Home Minister Zulfiqar Mirza and the party had announced its disassociation with Mirza.

He pointed out that Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon had been summoned by President Asif Ali Zardari to clarify his position and his visit to London.

"Whosoever will violate party discipline, will have to face the consequences," the Chief Minister said.

Shah said that the membership of MPA Imdad Pitafi had been suspended for violating party discipline.

He said that the party leadership was determined to foil any designs to destabilise the government.

The coalition government will complete its tenure, he added.

The Chief Minister was flanked by the PPP ministers and office bearers.
