LONDON: Europe's major stock market indices weakened at the open on Friday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 sliding almost 0.3 percent to 7,420.44 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index shed 0.3 percent to 12,757.97 points, and the Paris CAC 40 dipped 0.2 percent to 5,273.24 compared with Thursday's closing level.
