Salman Khan’s latest release ‘Tubelight’ has just hit the theaters worldwide, but Pakistan is not ready to release the movie on Eid.

Indian film critic Taran Adarsh confirmed this in his tweet, where he said, “#Tubelight not releasing in Pakistan tomorrow. No clarity on China release too, overseas release restricted to traditional markets”.

Speaking on Pakistan’s release, Salman Khan Films COO Amar Butala said at an event, “Pakistan has limitations on how many films they will release on Eid. So, we are still hopeful, the censor process is still on and we will know soon enough,” Indian media reported.

Few Indian media reports also suggested that no distributor from Pakistan was ready to release the film in the country because of the depiction of 1962 Sino-Indian War and Pakistan’s regional alignment with China.

Pakistani cinemas are also aligned to support national cinema by releasing three big budget Pakistani movies (Yalghar, Shor Sharaba and Mehrunisa V Lub U) on Eid.
