More funds to be allocated for development of Northern Areas: Kaira

Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Northern Areas (KANA) and Chairman Northern Areas Qamarul Zaman Kaira has said that members of NA Legislative Assembly would be given Rs 30 million each for speedy development of their respective areas. He stated this while talking to members of the Legislative Assembly in Islamabad during an Iftar Party on Sunday.
He said that after six months amount of 30 million rupees would be provided to the members through other sources so that the development schemes could be completed at the earliest. On this occasion, NAs Advisor on Public Works Development Haji Ibrahim Sanai told newsmen representative that the minister had announced to grant 500 million rupees for NAs education Project and SAP school in NAs.
He also informed that 1,000 job opportunities would be provided soon in northern areas to eradicate unemployment there. Haji Ibrahim said that President, Prime Minister and Members of NA's Legislative Assembly would soon hold meetings to solve the problems faced by the people of those areas so as to bring them at par with the other develop areas of the country.
