Meanwhile more ships C.V Pisti and M.T Patriotic carrying containers and chemicals also arrived at outer ancharage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy remained at the Port at 54 percent on Wednesday where seven ships namely C.V OOCL Sanfrancisco, M.V Abdul Aziz Arab. M.V Alex-I, M.V Safina-2 M.V Iron Kalypso, M.T Grace and M.T Karachi are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement. rice, canolo, seeds, palm oil and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 87,026 tannes comprising 70,523 tonnes imports and 16,503 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 1,323 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port during last 24 hours.

Container ship OOCL Sanfrancisco sailed out to sea on Thursday morning.

Five ships C.V Pisti, C.V CMA CGM Pugat, C.V Nicoline Maersk, M.T Patriotic and M.V Baltic Winter carrying containers, chemicals and project cargo are expected to take berths at QICT, EVTL and MW respectively on Thursday November 17, while three more ships C.V Maersk Wyoming. MT Al-Khalidia and Onthida Naree are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Friday November 18.
