Portugal Jan-April current account surplus rises sharply

The improvement came despite a 27 percent rise in the deficit of trade in goods, and the combined surplus of goods and services narrowed to 171 million euros from 513 million a year ago.

Portugal has been running current account surpluses for the past four years.
