KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has again advised the general public to exchange Rs 5 banknote from the field offices of SBP Banking Services Corporation and the branches of all commercial banks operating throughout the country up to 31st December, 2011.

It may be pointed out that the federal government has already notified that Rs 5 banknote will cease to be a legal tender with effect from 1st January, 2012.
