Deepika Padukone is having the time of her life with all the success under her belt, let it be Bollywood or Hollywood for that sake but recently the actress has brought upon some negative attention towards herself facing strong criticism against her bold photo-shoot.
‘Piku’ actress is sitting on cloud nine after the director of the successful flick ‘xXx: Return of Xander Cage’, DJ Caruso just confirmed to feature Deepika in the fourth installment of the franchise yet the she has infuriated her favorite director of Bollywood Sanjay Leela Bhansali with whom the actress has given two blockbusters including ‘Gooliyon ki Ras Leela: Ram Leela’ and ‘Bajirao Mastani’.
Apparently the director was irked after seeing Deepika’s hot photo shoot and the controversies it gathered. According to Deccan Chronicle the director is concerned over his upcoming period drama, ‘Padmavati’ which has Deepika in its lead, a close source has told the daily:
"Deepika is essaying the role of a historical character, a Rani (queen) in Padmavati and to pose for steamy photoshoots right before the release of the film, is unacceptable to him (Sanjay Leela Bhansali). He feels the pictures could rub people the wrong way. After what has happened in the past, he just cannot afford to risk it all for a third time."
The upcoming movie ‘Padmavati’ is all set to release in the month of November, the movie also has Shahid Kapoor and Ranvir Singh in pivotal roles alongside Deepika Padukone.
