Prices of fruits, vegetables remain stable

According to the Islamabad Market Committee Price List issued here, the prices of various fruits and vegetables showed no major difference from the price list of the previous week.

According to price list, potato was sold at Rs 39/35 per kilogram, Onion Rs 28/23, Tomato Rs 34/25, Ginger Rs 112/96, Garlic (Quetta) Rs 150/147, Garlic Local 107/97, Lemon Rs 235/197, Lady Finger Rs 44/40, Pumpkin Rs 35/24, Brinjal Rs 34/17, Peas Rs 21/108, Fresh Bean Rs 130/65, Tinda Walaiti (Imported gourd small) Rs 76/20, Cucumber Rs 30/24, Capsicum Rs 55/32, Green Chilli Rs 65/42, Cauliflower Rs 49/54, Cabbage Rs 66/19, Bitter fourd Rs 36/23, Green Zucchini Rs 44/27, Spinach Rs 34/21, Raddish Rs 27/15, Yam Rs 98/87, Maroo Rs 22/19, Carrot Rs 33/30, Chicken Rs 127 and Egg per dozen Rs 94.

Likewise, the rates of fruits per kilogram of high and medium quality in Islamabad are as follows: Apple (kala kalo) Rs 185/145, Apple Golden Rs 130/90, Apple White Rs 125/85, Apple China Rs 220/150, Banana Pak Rs 145/120, Banana India Rs 188/155, Pear China Rs 150/125, Melon Rs 58/45 and Water Melon Rs 25/19, Mango (Malda) 90/60, Mango (Sindhi) Rs 140/115,Mango (local) Rs 70/55 and Apricoat Rs 155/120, Cherry Rs 235/210, Plum Rs 152/123 and Plum (Special) Rs 195/155.

The people are asked to ensure that they purchased vegetables and fruits as per rate list and inform authorities at 051-9108084 in case of any compliant against shopkeepers.
