The funeral of Ikram Ullah Khan Niazi, father of the Chairman, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan was held on Thursday at his residence, 2-Zaman Park, Lahore. The Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami, Qazi Hussian Ahmed led the prayer that was attended by a large number of people belonging to different walks of life.
Prominent among those who attended the funeral were the former President, Muhammad Rafique Tarar, former Chief Justice, Nasim Hassan Shah, Chairman Wapda, Shakeel Durrani, Senator SM Zaffar, Air Marshal Muhammad Zulfiqar Zhahid (Retd), Admiral Javid Iqbal (Retd), former Federal Minister, Sartaj Aziz, Sardar Ayyaz Sadiq MNA, Pir Asif Ali Shah Gillani, Liaqat Baloch, Malik Pervaiz, Chief, Khaksar Tehreek, Hameed-ud-Din Al-Mashraqi and many national and provincial assemblies members and bureaucrats.
Later, the body of late Niazi was taken to Mianwali for burial in a graveyard near the central Eid Ghah of Mianwali district. His Qul would be held today (Friday) at 5 pm at his Mianwali residence. Quran Khawani would also be held on March 22 his Zaman Park residence in Lahore, PTI sources said.
