Seven under-trial prisoner booked in murder case of Khizar Hayat Toor, a right-hand of former speaker of National Assembly Syed Fakhar Imam, escaped from District Jail, Multan on late Sunday night by breaking jail's toilet wall.
However, police re-arrested two of them, while the other five are still at large.Deputy Inspector General Prisons, Farooq Nazir said that the seven prisoners broke the wall of Barrack No 7's latrine of the Jail and run away from the prison. However, two of them were arrested later.
He said that the prisoners, Muhammad Rafiq, Sajjad, Mumtaz, Kabir Ahmed, Dost Muhammad , Nazir Ahmed and Altaf Ahmed, were allegedly involved in a political murder case of Khizar Hayat Toor of Khanewal. He said that police arrested Nazir and Rafiq. SSP Operation Muhammad Nawaz Waraich said a team of police has been constituted to arrest the escaped prisoners.
