Prime Minister Gilani appreciated the role being played by his Nepalese counterpart in the promotion and development of SAARC.
He said there should be more connectivity in the member states of SAARC so that people-to-people contacts, trade and economic activities could be promoted for the benefit of region.
He said with exchange of knowledge, experience and manpower, the SAARC could become an important organization for playing a vital role in peace, security and development of the region.
Prime Minister Gilani invited Dr Baburam Bhattarai to visit Pakistan and especially the Swat area, which is the second most reverent place of Buddhism which is called Padmmasambhava.
The Nepalese Prime Minister extended an invitation to Prime Minister Gilani to visit Nepal, which was accepted by him.
