The decrease was mainly driven by new industry estimates, the report said.

An agency official said output figures were calculated until the last production licence expired in 2047.

Plans by Danish shipping and energy firm A.P. Moller-Maersk to redevelop the Tyra field in the North Sea from 2019 to 2022 had affected the revision, the report said.

"Denmark is expected to be a net exporter of oil until 2026, with the exception of the years 2019-2022," it said.

Gas exports would be affected to a lesser degree, it said, adding Denmark was expected to be a net gas exporter until 2032.
