Umpires called off play four overs earlier due to bad light. Pakistan won the second Test in Dubai by nine wickets, while the first Test in Abu Dhabi ended in a draw. Rain wiped out the pre-lunch session and when play resumed after two hours and 35-minute delay, Sri Lanka declared their second innings at 181-6 with opener Tharanaga Paranavitana unbeaten on 76.
