He said the philanthropist and well-to-do people should also not forget the poor and destitute people on this occasion and may make arrangements that others could also be part of the celebration. Qaim Ali Shah also asked the members of the Sindh cabinet and elected members of Sindh Assembly to go to their respective constituencies and serve the flood affected poor masses on the occasion so that they should not feel deprived. "You are liable to serve the people and enquire about their welfare and well being," he added. The Chief Minister said that PPP leadership Asif Ali Zardari has a mission of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto to serve the masses and with this goal, the party members are also needed to follow the path and share the grievances of the people at grassroots level in a manner to solve the same. "We are doing our best to provide relief to the people," he said. Qaim Ali Shah said that the rains displaced over 8.5 million people in the province and despite resource constraints all efforts have been made to provide them all relief including food, medical and communication facilities. Referring to the law and order situation, he said that our religion preaches peace and there was no space for act of terrorism as Islam is a religion of peace.
