Meanwhile, two more ships C.V Hurst Point and Kiran Africa carrying Containers and Sunflower Seeds also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours. Berth occupancy was observed at the Port at 46% on Thursday where six ships namely C.V Nora Maersk, C.V Pisti, M.V STX Viva, M.T Bow Lima, M.T Sea Sky and M.T North contender are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, Canola Seeds, Palm oil, Chemicals and Furnace oil during last 24 hours. Cargo handling operation were out efficiently at the Port where a cargo volume of 120,754 tonnes, comprising 104,872 tonnes imports and 15,882 tonnes exports inclusive containerized cargo carried in 2,224 containers (TEUs) was handled uring last 24 hours. Two ships C.V Nora Maersk and M.T Bow Lima sailed out to sea on friday morning, while two more ships C.V Pisti and M.T Sea Sky are expected to sail on same day afternoon. Three ships C.V Dubai Express, C.V Hurst Point and M.T Chemroad journey carrying containers and Palm oil are expected to take berths at QICTL and LCT respectively on Friday 4th November. Two ships M.T Al-Khalidia and M.T Leonora with Furnace oil and LPG are due to arrive at Port Qasim on same day while two more ships C.V Maersk Wisconsin and C.V Lady Bug are due to arrive on Sunday 6th November 2011.
